Tasks& Responsibilities Accounting Functions
- Manage accounting for Hall Rental operations
- Review entries for Hall Rental revenue (including cash payments) and Hall Rental invoices
- Reconcile accounts receivable
- Analyze and resolve hall rental aged receivables
- Manage accounting for Ticketing revenue and receipts
- Review entries for Ticketing revenue (including cash payments)
- Review Ticketing cash reconciliations
- Review the reconciliations between general ledger and sub ledger
- Oversee the reconciliation of Fixed Assets between general ledger and Fixed Assets module
- Responsible for overseeing the reconciliation process for all Balance Sheet accounts
- Coordinate year end annual financial audit and pension audit
- Coordinate and review state charitable registration filings
- Review monthly budget vs actual reports
- Assist in the monthly and yearly closing
- Oversee, monitor and work to improve accounting procedures, internal controls and database management
- Assist in the implementation of FASB changes
- Manage two Finance staff
- Other Projects as needed
- Train staff on proper procedures
- Ensure compliance with all internal controls
- Coordinate the annual audit as well as other related audits
- Trains staff on proper procedures
- With input from the Controller, assist with the annual preparation of the IRS 990 report, annual financial statements and pension financial statements
- Responsible for 1099 and 1042 reporting
- Prepare annual escheatment reporting
- Coordinate the insurance renewal process including updating applications and processing of payments
- Special Projects as requested
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Professional Certification (CPA) preferred
- Min. 4 years progressive managerial experience in the financial management of an organization
- Exposure and experience in non‑profit finance desirable
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and diplomatic skills: the ability to effectively liaise with colleagues
- Strong Computer skills: facility with MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint required, knowledge of MIP accounting system desirable
