Here, you will be an actuary right at the heart of that mission, leading engagement teams, working directly with clients, mentoring and developing team members and building your personal brand as a leader in your field.
Yourkey responsibilities
As a Senior within the Insurance Actuarial Advisory Services Property and Casualty team, you will be challenged to lead engagement teams and contribute to projects such as:
- Reserving, actuarial opinion and regulatory services
- Rate making analytics and services
- Actuarial process redesign and software integration
- Predictive analytics
- Data visualization
- Market strategy advice
- Reinsurance analysis and advice
- Ad hoc financial reporting advice
- Build strong relationships with client personnel and consistently deliver high-quality services.
- Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about outcomes.
- Stay abreast of current business, regulatory and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
- Demonstrate in-depth technical actuarial expertise and professional knowledge.
- Exhibit strong business acumen and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Commit to developing a strong personal brand by staying informed regarding economic/market developments and their impact on the firm's clients.
- Progress towards professional credentials from the Casualty Actuarial Society or other industry organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Approximately 3+ years of experience in an actuarial position.
- Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society, (ACAS) or actively pursuing Associateship within the Casualty Actuarial Society with a minimum of 5 actuarial exams passed.
- 2 years of experience with Excel, SAS, VBA and/or C++.
- Strong writing, presentation, conceptual, analytical, and interpersonal skills as evidenced by preparing and presenting results and/or findings to clients or senior management.
- Ability to understand and persuade on complex subjects both in writing and verbally.
- Experience working in a team environment on project-based work.
- 2 years of experience with R, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
- Previous consulting experience or experience implementing new processes/procedures in a corporate environment.
