Tax Manager Opportunity

We are thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic Financial Services Tax team in New York City. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in a stimulating environment and is eager to make an impact in the financial services sector, specifically with private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative investment funds.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on tax issues and regulatory filing requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Review complex tax returns, including forms 1065 and 1120, guaranteeing they meet all necessary standards.
  • Utilize your expertise to resolve complex tax issues by referencing the Internal Revenue Code and other authoritative sources.
  • Manage client engagements, overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery phases to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client engagements by understanding and addressing their evolving needs.
  • Provide constructive feedback and conduct performance evaluations to foster growth and development within your team.
  • Drive innovation and demonstrate independent thinking to enhance client service delivery.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree is required; a Master's in Accounting / Taxation is preferred.
  • A CPA, JD, or EA designation is preferred.
  • At least 6 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in the Financial Services Industry, particularly with Hedge Funds and Private Equity, is required.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in tax research and writing, with strong technical skills in MS Office and familiarity with tax compliance software such as GoSystems, CCH Axcess, and RIA.
  • Solid organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
