Revenue Accounting Manager – Investment Management Firm

Base salary range: $140,000 – $160,000 annually + bonus and benefits.

Location:

Midtown, Manhattan — hybrid (2‑3 days onsite).

Role Overview
As a Revenue Accounting Manager, you will lead the revenue lifecycle from daily recognition to complex consolidations, ensuring financial data is precise, compliant, and actionable.

• Revenue Lifecycle Management:
  Oversee daily operations for revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and cash application, ensuring all entries align with GAAP and company policies.
• Consolidation & Intercompany:
  Supervise month‑end close for revenue, including elimination entries for intercompany transactions and balance sheet roll‑forwards.
• Reporting & Insights:
  Prepare monthly AUM and revenue analyses, developing management reports with clear commentary on variances.
• Financial Preparation:
  Assist in drafting comprehensive financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) and support external audit requirements.
• Cross‑Functional Partnership:
  Collaborate with departments across the firm to align financial reporting with broader business objectives.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Experience:
  
  7‑10 years of progressive revenue accounting experience in investment management or financial services.
• Technical Expertise:
  Mastery of GAAP, revenue recognition principles, and month‑end close cycle.
• Systems Proficiency:
  Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems required; familiarity with Net Suite and Workiva highly desirable.
• Soft Skills:
  
  Exceptional analytical problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate complex financial concepts with clarity and confidence.
