Job DescriptionThe Senior Finance Analyst will support the US Wholesale Controllers group within TD Securities US Finance in New York City.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in month‑end close for multiple legal entities and the US Wholesale consolidation process in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
- Preparing, analyzing, and documenting monthly accounting entries.
- Ensuring adherence to account reconciliation and attestation policies.
- Supporting external and internal audit requests.
- Preparing quarterly/annual disclosures and other reporting obligations.
- Preparing financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintaining sub‑ledger to general ledger mapping logic.
- Performing sub‑ledger and GL reconciliations.
- Improving data accuracy and supporting data‑driven decision‑making.
- Maintaining strong internal controls and updating process documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 5+ years post‑undergraduate experience in public accounting and/or financial services.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, US GAAP, and IFRS.
- Knowledge of Sarbanes‑Oxley controls and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI, Alteryx, Power Query, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated curiosity and interest in process improvements.
- Undergraduate degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Accounting designation preferred.
- Domestic travel – occasional.
- Performing sedentary work – continuous.
- Operating standard office equipment – continuous.
- Standing – occasional.
- Other tasks as per job description.
