Tax Manager – State Tax
Organization: TIAA
Base Pay Range: $102,000 – $140,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities & Duties- Monitor appropriate federal, state and local tax regulations and obligations.
- Prepare appropriate tax forms and instruments for filing with federal, state and local jurisdictions.
- Work with business units to keep them informed about tax implications of their operations.
- Help junior staff learn the appropriate regulations, filing procedures and internal communication needs.
- University degree preferred.
- 5+ years required; 7+ years preferred.
- Sedentary work.

Required Qualifications- 5+ years tax experience in a corporate and/or public accounting setting.
- 7+ years of experience in direct and indirect state tax.
- CPA certification or similar advanced professional designation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex tax matters clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail and meeting critical deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with demonstrated success working across functions and building strong working relationships.
