This role will play a key part in enabling smarter, data-driven decisions across Engineering and G&A functions, helping to optimize headcount, opex, and system efficiency.

You will partner closely with the broader FP&A, Accounting, People, and Business Operations teams to support forecasting, reporting, and transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on analyst with strong modeling skills, exceptional Excel capabilities, and experience working with financial systems like Workday Adaptive Planning or Oracle Essbase.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage headcount and opex forecasting in partnership with People & Culture and business leaders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals
  • Develop and maintain financial models for scenario planning, investment evaluation, and operating expense management
  • Support accounting close activities through accurate accrual tracking, cost allocations, and alignment between FP&A and accounting
  • Automate and streamline reporting by leveraging systems like Adaptive, Workday, and BI tools—driving greater efficiency and accuracy in financial processes
  • Build and enhance dashboards that visualize financial KPIs and headcount metrics for Engineering and G&A leadership
  • Support system integration and process improvement efforts across Workday, Adaptive Planning, and data tools to enhance automation and scalability
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver financial insights and provide recommendations that can be used in the development of actionable business recommendations
  • Support month‑end close, forecast, and budget cycles, providing analysis on trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, improving data structures, workflows, and system adoption across teams
ABOUT YOU

  • Solid understanding of financial statements, forecasting methodologies, and accounting fundamentals
  • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including data manipulation, scenario modeling, and complex formula building
  • Experience using Workday Adaptive Planning, Essbase, or similar tools (e.g., Anaplan, Net Suite Planning, Power BI).
  • Strong business modeling and analytical acumen—comfortable building dynamic, scalable models to support decision‑making
  • Excellent communicator who can synthesize financial data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset and a drive for process automation
  • Collaborative, proactive, and motivated by Bumble’s mission to build equitable relationships and connections
