Job Overview – Temp Controller

Become an integral part of our client's Finance/Accounting team as a Temp Controller, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This role is crucial for managing accounting procedures, performing daily and monthly accounting tasks, and supporting special projects, including future system implementations.

Location:

New York, NY

Compensation: $90 – $125/hour

• Month-End Close:
  Oversee the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
• Compliance:
  Ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB, and internal controls, and assist with new policy implementation.
• Financial Reporting:
  Prepare periodic financial reports and track project revenue, expenditures, commitments, and cash flow.
• Audit Support:
  Serve as the primary contact for auditor requests and support year-end audit preparation.
• Financial Analysis:
  Deliver timely and accurate financial analysis, supporting planning, budgeting, and reporting activities.
• Process Improvement:
  Identify opportunities for process enhancements, drive automation, and strengthen internal controls.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (advanced degree preferred).
• Experience:
  
  5-8 years of Accounting/Finance experience in SaaS, with prior management of accounting staff and public accounting.
• Skills:
  
  Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in Quick Books, Salesforce, and other accounting software.
• Knowledge:
  Thorough understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and GAAP compliance.
• Attributes:
  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow standard procedures.
