Vice President, Asset Based Lending (New York or Chicago)

Pay range: $250,000 – $275,000 per year.

We are a newly launched private credit investment fund affiliated with a multibillion‑dollar alternative investment manager. Our platform offers differentiated access to private credit, ABL, and asset‑based special situations, and we are expanding our investment team in both New York and Chicago. The Vice President will play a key role in the execution of unique cross‑capital structured, asset‑based investment opportunities, including ABL, term loans, FILO, IP‑backed, and asset acquisitions.

• Lead the underwriting and execution of complex asset‑based and structured credit investments.
• Conduct due diligence, create financial models, negotiate term sheets, and prepare documentation.
• Oversee ongoing portfolio management.
• Build trust and maintain strong communication with borrowers, intermediaries, sponsors, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful deal execution.

• 4–7 years of experience underwriting and executing special situations, distressed private credit, or asset‑based lending.
• Background in workout and restructuring at a major commercial bank or credit manager, or transaction experience at a middle‑market investment bank or financial advisory firm.
• Demonstrated familiarity with legal documentation and intercreditor dynamics in ABL and structured lending deals.
• Comfortable thriving in a fast‑paced, startup environment within a larger institutional platform.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
