About the CompanyOur client, a law firm based in Queens, NY, is looking for a CPA, to lead their investment and tax accounting efforts. Ideal candidate has 8 plus years of experience delivering federal, state, and local tax compliance, planning, and advisory for leadership teams.
About the RoleProven ability to manage high-volume, high-complexity engagements while serving as a trusted technical resource for senior leadership and clients.
Responsibilities- Deliver federal, state, and local tax compliance.
- Advise on tax strategy, ensuring proper financial reporting, and assessing internal controls.
- Mitigate risks, enhance profitability, and make informed decisions in regards to accounting, tax and outside investments for firm partners.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services.
- Prepare financial statements that reflect the company’s financial position and performance, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Coordinate the preparation and review of all entries related to all of the partnership investments.
- Make investment / tax accounting recommendations.
- Provide guidance on tax-saving strategies, such as deductions, credits, and timing strategies, to help firm minimize their tax liabilities.
- Support timely and accurate financial and management reporting requirements.
- Continue to automate processes and/or implement process improvements.
- CPA certification.
- 10 years of experience in tax compliance and investment advisory.
- Ideal candidate has worked in Public, Financial Services or in a similar role at another law firm.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with senior leadership.
