Job Summary We are supporting a confidential financial services organization in the search for a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will lead all financial functions across the enterprise, including oversight of funds, reporting, treasury, budgeting, and internal controls. This is a high visibility role requiring a hands-on leader who balances technical accounting expertise with operational leadership and stakeholder engagement.
Skills & Experience
* MBA required
* CPA in good standing or equivalent professional credential preferred
* Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles
* Prior CFO or senior finance leadership experience in insurance, reinsurance, or a regulated financial services environment preferred
* Prior government or regulatory experience is a plus
* Knowledge of statutory and GAAP accounting principles
* Proficiency with general ledger and ERP systems, with experience implementing or improving GL processes
* Advanced Excel and presentation skills for financial reporting and executive briefings
* Strong leadership, judgment, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively

* Advise executive leadership on financial policy, objectives, and risk management
* Lead and develop a team of finance professionals
* Oversee general ledger, accounting operations, and financial management systems
* Prepare annual reports, budgets, forecasts, and tax filings
* Manage external and internal audit processes and serve as primary audit contact
* Oversee receivables, billing, treasury operations, and cash management functions
* Develop financial forecasts, reconciliations, and enterprise risk assessments
* Establish and maintain strong financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
* Provide financial analysis and support for third party proceedings as needed
* Respond to inquiries from stakeholders including regulators and creditors as appropriate
