The Opportunity

The Vice President of Finance will serve as a senior financial leader, responsible for shaping financial strategy, strengthening analytics and controls, and developing a high‑performing finance organization. This role includes but goes well beyond cyclical accounting/reporting and will partner closely with executive leadership to drive data‑informed decision‑making, operational efficiency, and scalable financial infrastructure.

The VP of Finance will lead an established finance and accounting team and play a critical role in modernizing systems, enhancing reporting capabilities, and ensuring strong governance across all financial operations.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior leadership, providing financial insight, modeling, and analysis to support strategic initiatives, growth planning, and operational decision‑making.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning, and profitability analysis with a strong emphasis on trend analysis, key performance indicators, and scenario modeling.
  • Enhance management reporting and dashboards to improve visibility into financial and operational performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multi‑functional finance and accounting team (including AR, AP, payroll, and general accounting).
  • Build bench strength within the organization by upgrading talent, clarifying roles, and promoting best practices and accountability.
Systems, Controls & Process Improvement
  • Evaluate, upgrade, and optimize financial systems, processes, and internal controls to support scale, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Lead system enhancements or implementations, including ERP and reporting tools, to improve efficiency and data integrity.
Operational Finance Oversight
  • Oversee core financial operations including billing, collections, payroll, fixed assets, treasury, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure effective working capital management and liquidity planning.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with audits, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Proactively identify financial, operational, and compliance risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide executive oversight of healthcare reimbursement processes, including Medicaid and third‑party payor collections, ensuring accuracy and optimization of cash flow.
Qualifications
  • Senior‑level finance leadership experience within healthcare or healthcare‑related professional services.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, including Medicaid and third‑party payors.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams through growth and change.
  • Advanced expertise in financial planning, analytics, reporting, and internal controls.
  • Track record of upgrading financial systems and improving processes in a complex operating environment.
  • Experience with large well‑known ERP systems.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to operate both at a high level and in the details when needed.
Base Salary: $225,000–$275,000

plus performance‑based bonus and comprehensive benefits. The above salary range represents Advice’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is not reflective of the total compensation package, which may also include benefits, equity and other non‑cash incentives.
