Location: New York

An established financial services consulting and advisory firm in Midtown, NY, is looking to hire an experienced accountant to join their team. This individual will be reporting directly into the Controller and CFO and will be responsible for all corporate accounting and reporting functions. This will include entering and reconciling accounting transactions, reviewing financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance, and providing assistance to the payroll/benefits team.

Job Responsibilities:

Utilize Quick Books and Microsoft Excel on a daily basis for accounting operations

Maintain and review financial statements, keeping in compliance with GAAP

Review and process expense reports of consultants

Recalculation of administrators management fees and any related management fee offset calculations

Review and recalculation of investor profit/loss allocations prepared by fund administrator

Review of special purpose vehicle financial statements rolling into the above mentioned funds

Review quarterly financial statements

Review quarterly partner capital account statements

Prepare investment P&L reports for Asset Management

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Accounting, Business, Finance), along with previous financial services or management consulting experience

Prior experience using Quick Books and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V-Lookups, SUMMIFS)

Knowledge of 401(k) administration

CPA is a BIG plus

Strong communication skills, as this individual will be communicating with multiple departments
