Position: Accounting Analyst (Management Company)
Location: New York

A fund administration firm, who focuses in the Private Equity space, is seeking a Management Company Accountant. This position will be involved in various aspects of corporate accounting, financial reporting, and business planning. The ideal candidate will hold an Accounting degree and have at least 3 years of experience within Financial Services.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of any ad hoc analyses requested by various members of management.

Record in the general ledger.

Responsible for reviewing the day-to-day accounting for the financials.

Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, etc.

Perform and review general ledger functions to assist with monthly accounting activity and closings.

Ensure financial statements are GAAP compliant.

Compile and analyze financial information to prepare and post entries to general ledger accounts and to document business transactions.

Prepare reports on a monthly basis, including forecasts, operation expense reports and others.

Job Requirements:

Strong understanding of US GAAP.

Familiarity with leading accounting software.

Demonstrate strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
