The ideal candidate will bring experience in underwriting or processing loans, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage workflows from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth closings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the entire backend loan processing workflow, from intake through closing.
  • Review and analyze loan applications, credit reports, and financial documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Take ownership of verifying income, assets, and liabilities to ensure loans meet internal and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with loan officers, borrowers, attorneys, and third parties to gather documentation and resolve issues.
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot potential challenges to keep the pipeline moving efficiently.
  • Maintain clear, organized loan files and ensure backend operations run seamlessly.
  • Keep up-to-date with lending regulations and internal compliance policies.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in mortgage underwriting, loan processing, or a related banking/lending role (required).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to take ownership of backend operations.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with loan origination systems (LOS) or similar software (preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required);
    Associate’s/Bachelor’s in finance, business, or related field (preferred).
