Fiduciary Trust & Estate Tax Administration Services (FTEAS) provides fiduciary/court accounting services. The Analyst will assist the team in managing the FTEAS business conducted out of his or her office and support the leadership team in strategy development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review fiduciary accountings for trusts, estates and guardian ships
  • Review trust and estate documents, including trust instruments, wills and IRS Form 706
  • Review and interpret source data (bank statements, brokerage statements, checking accounts) to determine proper accounting treatment
  • Participate in internal and external training for fiduciary law and software applications
  • Communicate regularly with client liaison and client trust administration team
  • Interact with supervisor and colleagues, including data entry staff
  • Handle start-to-finish accounting processes, including monthly billing
  • Organize and maintain personal account workload
  • Maintain required annual CPE credits
  • Participate in business development activities
Skills and Attributes for Success
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in fiduciary accountings preparation
  • Knowledge of current fiduciary accounting law
  • Strong technical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Detail oriented
  • Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Approximately 2 years of experience in professional services or tax organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt work style to internal and client teams
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed; hybrid work environment
Ideally, you will have
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters FAS accounting system
  • Paralegal degree with trust and estate knowledge, experience in an accounting firm or bank trust department
  • Experience in a law firm
