The Benchmark Company, a boutique research, sales & trading, and investment banking firm, is looking to add an Equity Research Associate to its research team. Primary responsibilities include supporting a Senior Analyst in covering a broad journal‑subject sector‑specific stocks, building and maintaining complex financial models, drafting written research reports, participating in corporate access events, and preparing marketing materials. The ideal candidate has a background in finance and/or acompanhado experience in the investment business, can handle heavy workloads on a compressed timetable—especially during earnings season—in an organized and efficient manner, and possesses strong writing skills and a firm understanding of investment terminology.
Responsibilities- Support the Senior Analyst in covering a number of high‑profile stocks.
- Maintain contact with Benchmark’s sales and trading platform, global institutional clients, and senior company executives to develop all aspects of Benchmark’s business.
- Build lead coverage and obtain market‑leadingเหตุ client recognition for a number of stocks.
- Interact with public company executives at corporate access events.
- Provide investment insight and impact the investment research process.
- Received undergraduate degree in economics, finance, or accounting; CFA and/or MBA a plus.
- Relevant experience in the finance industry, specifically in the investment business.
- Willingness to obtain FINRA Series 7, 63, 86 & 87 Licenses.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
- Experience creating financial models is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with report design and statistical analysis in a business or corporate environment.
- Ability to execute projects independently or within a team.
- Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail are mandatory.
Hiring Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 (salary determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data). Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan. This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
