Role Description
The analyst will join a team of 9 professionals (4 traders and 5 sales/structuring specialists) that provides fixed income clients with bespoke financing and funding structures, derivatives solutions, and structured investments, with a focus on Latin American markets.
Our team specializes in trading funding structures and derivatives, including collateralized financing structures, insurance products, credit-linked notes, RSG derivatives, and securitized products. Our client base is primarily Latin America-focused and comprises financial institutions, banks, hedge funds, and large corporate clients.
The team combines deep product expertise with strong client relationships to deliver innovative solutions. The EM Structured group is recognized as one of the most advanced in the market, having generated consistent revenues since 2012 while providing exposure to diverse asset classes including Credit, Rates, and FX.
About Our Full-Time Analyst Program
Join Nomura’s Graduate program in Global Markets, New York. We are looking for the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders to make an impression on our future.
As a new Analyst joiner, you will also attend a four-week intensive Global Training Program with peers from our offices around the world. Nomura places great emphasis on the career development of our junior population. Our comprehensive program will focus on Global Markets technical training alongside business speakers and networking opportunities. The unique program will orientate you to Nomura’s history, values, and build your knowledge and appreciation of working within a Japanese investment bank.
Once you have completed Global Training and joined your desk, you will be enrolled in our Continuing Professional Development Program offering workshops, speaker sessions, and mentorship. The three pillars of CPD (Business & Technical Skills, Career Management, and Professional Skills) provide you with the necessary knowledge and ability required to succeed on the desk and maximize your potential.
The Structured EM Analyst will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Draft client presentations and internal memos
- Engage with clients during structured transaction execution to gather required information and documentation
- Liaise with internal teams to coordinate and track tasks
- Assist with modeling structured transactions
- Read and interpret financial agreements to help the team design bespoke solutions to clients
- Assist with the execution of transactions checking that pricing, conditions precedent and internal approvals are correct
- Prepare summaries of internal and client calls
Desired Skillset
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical background to understand the risk and pricing factors behind a structured transaction
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to supporting team objectives
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required
- Language: fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is highly desirable
- Knowledge of derivatives and lending products is a plus
Requirements
- Outstanding academic qualifications; 3.7 GPA or higher
- Pursuing a BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university, majoring in either Business or any STEM major
- Graduation must be between December 2025 and June 2026
Disclosures
This position has a set base salary of $110,000 per year.
