Alternatives Capital Formation (ACF) is part of the Client Solutions Group (CSG) within Asset Management. ACF manages capital raising and strategy for alternative investments including private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, sustainability, secondaries, GP stakes and hedge funds / liquid alternatives. Within ACF, team members work within product verticals and collaborate across strategies to identify portfolio-wide solutions. They also partner with other teams within ACF, and across CSG, investing teams and wealth management teams.

Professional development initiatives provide opportunities to enhance expertise across alternative investment products, and to sharpen market knowledge from industry experts investing across the Firm. This specific ACF role sits with the External Investing Group (“XIG”), as part of the Vintage Strategies.

About Vintage Strategies. The Vintage Platform is Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s dedicated secondary investing platform that sits within the External Investing Group. The Vintage Funds, which provide liquidity solutions to private market limited partner investors and general partner fund managers, represent a flagship of Goldman Sachs’ alternatives franchise, with leadership in the secondaries space since 1998. Since inception, the Vintage Funds have raised nine globally diversified secondary funds and four strategy‑specific vehicles, having invested over $85bn across more than 775 secondary transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

AND

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Lead client engagement and product management across the full fundraising lifecycle for the Vintage Real Assets strategies (Infrastructure and Real Estate), including fund launches, interim closes, final close, and post‑close investor engagement.
  • Serve as a core commercial partner to the secondaries investment team
    , collaborating closely on fund strategy, mandate design, vehicle structuring, and positioning to ensure alignment between investment objectives and investor demand.
  • Build, expand, and deepen long‑term relationships with global institutional investors across pensions, sovereign wealth funds, insurers, endowments, foundations, and consultants, with a focus on repeat capital formation and strategic partnerships.
  • Manage a high volume of investor interaction across the investor lifecycle, including due diligence processes, portfolio and performance updates, ongoing investor requests, and ad hoc projects, such as bespoke mandates and tailored liquidity or co‑investment structures.
  • Own and drive go‑to‑market execution in partnership with senior stakeholders
    , including defining target investor segments, shaping fundraising strategy, drafting and refining marketing narratives, tracking fundraising progress versus objectives, and refining strategy based on investor feedback.
  • Develop, produce, and continuously refine investor materials across the Vintage Real Assets platform, including marketing presentations, data rooms, performance reporting, update calls, and bespoke analyses; incorporate insights from investor dialogue to enhance clarity, relevance, and effectiveness of materials.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders across the firm
    , including Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Controllers, Tax, and senior management, to respond efficiently and accurately to inbound investor inquiries and to support fund structuring and execution.
