Position: Senior Audit Analyst (SOX)
Location: New York

Our client, a well-known international investment bank in Jersey City, is looking for an experienced internal auditor to join their team. This individual will be responsible for all internal audit testing related to SOX and Internal Controls. Responsibilities include risk assessments, audit testing, control evaluation, and audit reporting. The candidate must have at least three years of experience in internal audit within a financial services firm, preferably in the banking or broker-dealer space.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Identify and analyze control issues or changes in company processes for potential implications.
  • Liaise with process and control owners and department managers to ensure control documentation (e.g., risk matrices, policies & procedures, flowcharts) is maintained and updated.
  • Collaborate with department managers to resolve SOX-related control issues and implement remediation strategies.
  • Provide progress reports and executive summaries of deficiencies to senior management.
  • Stay informed about changes in legislation and regulatory guidance affecting SOX compliance.
  • Coordinate SOX-related test work with internal and external auditors and other regulators as needed.
    • Job Requirements:
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of operational governance processes.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work tasks.
  • Proactive and highly engaged attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
