📌 Middle Office Analyst – Insurance Operations

We are looking for a Middle Office Analyst – Insurance Operations to join a dynamic financial services environment. This role is key to the end-to-end management of credit insurance activities linked to financing transactions, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and strong operational risk control.

Responsibilities
  • Insurance lifecycle management
  • Act as the subject matter expert for credit insurance processes, from deal review (pre-closing when applicable) through booking, payment, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Calculate insurance premiums based on credit agreements and insurance certificates, and ensure timely and accurate payments to brokers.
  • System booking & monitoring
  • Book, monitor, and reconcile insurance-related transactions in core loan systems (e.g. Loan IQ), ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Documentation review
  • Review insurance policies and related legal documentation to identify insurance requirements and ensure correct operational treatment.
  • Validate insurance calculations and coordinate initial deposits or payments prior to funding.
  • Coordination & communication
  • Serve as the main point of contact for insurance-related topics with Front Office teams, internal stakeholders, and external brokers.
  • Monitor insurance covenants and reporting obligations, identify discrepancies, and escalate risks or issues when necessary.
  • Process improvement
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of insurance handling processes, from booking to reconciliation and reporting.
Profile & Qualifications
  • 1–2+ years of experience in commercial lending, asset finance, or middle office operations within a banking or financial services environment
  • Proven experience managing insurance components within financing deals
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Familiarity with banking systems such as Loan IQ (or equivalent) is a strong plus
  • Solid Excel skills; comfortable working with Power Point
  • Good understanding of financial statements and ability to calculate and interpret financial ratios
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
