MORT CAPITAL LLC is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Loan Processor & Operations Associate to join our growing team in Brooklyn, NY, and Queens, NY . Responsibilities:- Review and process residential mortgage loan applications from submission to closing
- Collect, verify, and organize borrower documentation including income, assets, and credit reports
- Communicate with loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to ensure timely loan progression
- Maintain accurate loan files and update pipeline management systems
- Order and track third-party services such as appraisals, title reports, and flood certifications
- Ensure compliance with federal and state lending regulations including RESPA and TRID guidelines
- Support daily office operations and assist senior staff with administrative tasks
- Prior experience in mortgage processing, banking, or financial services preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
- Familiarity with loan origination software (e.g., Encompass, Calyx) is a plus
- Solid understanding of or willingness to learn mortgage guidelines and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Self-starter with a team-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills
