Portfolio Finance

• Monitor and analyze daily margin and financing costs across prime brokerage, repo, total return swaps, and margin loans.
• Own and maintain the financing cost allocation methodology across strategies and asset classes, including efficiency metrics.
• Execute repo transactions for various fixed income and credit products.
• Facilitate borrowing of securities and minimize cost for short positions.
• Monitor firm-level FX exposures and hedge appropriately.
• Partner with internal teams regularly:
• Investment professionals, to provide insight into financing impact for current and future investment strategies.
• Treasury, for liquidity management and excess cash reinvestment.
• Middle office teams, for trade support and cash wires.
• Manage day-to-day interactions with prime brokers, repo desks, stock loan desks, and other financing counter parties.
• Consistently seek to improve processes and analytics/reporting capabilities.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of direct experience in a comparable role, e.g., prime brokerage funding or risk management at a bank, or portfolio finance/treasury at a hedge fund.
• Experience with various financing methods for equities and credit, and a deep understanding of leverage, margin, and financing concepts.
• Strong preference for experience in FX hedging and/or negotiating margin methodologies.
• Independent thinker with a firm-wide, control-oriented mindset.
