The Senior Manager, M&A Corporate Strategy combines the research discipline and transaction execution of a private-equity professional with the healthcare technology and strategic market perspective of a healthcare corporate-development leader.

The Senior Manager will build defensible views on markets and companies, identify and screen potential platform and add-on opportunities, and help move live transactions from initial evaluation through closing. The role is designed for a self-directed professional who enjoys producing excellent research, models, fact packs, diligence materials, and written recommendations while working closely with senior strategy, operating, and corporate-development leaders.

What You Will Do
  • Build market maps, company universes, and ranked acquisition watchlists across healthcare technology, software, payer technology, data, and information services.
  • Conduct research using Pitch Book, Alpha Sense, Capital IQ, industry sources, expert networks, bankers, and management relationships.
  • Prepare company fact packs, competitive analyses, market assessments, and written recommendations that connect opportunities to portfolio priorities.
  • Identify and screen platform, add-on, partnership, and strategic opportunities based on market position, competitive advantage, customer demand, financial performance, strategic fit, and value-creation potential.
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline, including company summaries, screening conclusions, pass memos, and relevant market intelligence.
  • Partner with operating leaders, bankers, investors, founders, advisors, and healthcare technology stakeholders to develop sourcing relationships.
  • Support live transactions from initial evaluation through closing, including NDAs, data rooms, diligence tracking, workplans, timelines, and advisor coordination.
  • Build financial models, valuation analyses, synergy cases, scenario analyses, screening memos, diligence summaries, and transaction materials.
  • Coordinate financial, commercial, operational, legal, technology, cybersecurity, and regulatory diligence.
  • Use AI where necessary to improve research, repeatable workflows, and diligence quality.
What You Bring
  • 5-8 years of experience in M&A / corporate development at an acquisitive company, with healthcare strategy, transaction advisory, or PE experience preferably with meaningful hands‑on buy-side transaction exposure.
  • Pitch Book, Alpha Sense, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Evaluate Pharma, Dealogic, or similar research and transaction platforms;
    Claude, databricks, GPT.
  • Direct experience supporting or owning live acquisition work streams, including diligence, data rooms, modeling, advisor coordination, and process management through closing.
  • Experience in healthcare technology, healthcare software, payer technology, healthcare data, information services, or another relevant B2B software or technology market.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, including familiarity with operating models, DCF, transaction comparables, scenario analysis, synergies, and returns analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct market mapping and competitive research independently and convert findings into a clear, defensible recommendation.
  • Excellent written communication and the ability to produce concise, accurate fact packs, screening memos, diligence summaries, and executive presentations.
  • Strong project-management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, advisors, work streams, and deadlines.
  • Comfort working independently in an environment where selectivity, quality of analysis, and thoughtful judgment matter more than transaction volume.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, healthcare, technology, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
Preferred Experience
  • Healthcare Technology or Healthcare sector experience
  • Experience in a long-duration ownership environment, serial acquirer, healthcare corporate-development function, or private-equity-backed operating company.
