CIBC World Markets Corp. seeks a Director, Investment Banking to provide advanced financial modeling and analysis for financing mandate projects in the clean tech sector. Execute mergers and acquisitions (M&A) mandates to buy or sell companies or assets. Conduct deal-related due diligence activities and present findings to clients. Leverage in-depth technical and industry knowledge to generate financing ideas for clients. Develop and maintain external client relationships.

Develop business plans for clients to maximize opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Execute mergers and acquisitions (M&A) mandates to buy or sell companies or assets.
Conduct deal-related due diligence activities and present findings to clients.
Leverage in-depth technical and industry knowledge to generate financing ideas for clients.
Develop and maintain external client relationships.
Develop business plans for clients to maximize opportunities.

Qualifications

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with providing analytical and research support for M&A and capital markets transactions.

5 years of experience with using Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, and Fact Set Systems to analyze investment banking opportunities;
3 years of experience with developing detailed financial models for value analysis;
3 years of experience with cultivating external client relationships;
2 years of experience with financing and M&A transactions in the clean tech sector.
Up to 15% domestic and international travel is required.
