The Opportunity

This role focuses on traded risk analytics across multiple asset classes including equity derivatives, fixed-income and interest-rate derivatives, foreign exchange (FX) and commodities. You’ll develop and enhance risk methodologies that underpin regulatory stress testing, market risk and capital-related measures including Credit Valuation Adjustment (CVA), Value at Risk (VaR) and risk-weighted assets. The role sits in a highly regulated environment where methodology quality, documentation and governance matter.

Success means risk models and methodologies are well evidenced, well monitored and aligned with Basel and other regulatory requirements. It also means issues are investigated quickly with clear recommendations that improve performance and control. You’ll bring quantitative insight to stress testing, portfolio reviews and assessments of new products.

What you'll be doing

  • Strengthen approaches supporting regulatory stress testing, market risk and regulatory capital measures
  • Improve methodology coverage for CVA, VaR and risk-weighted assets within traded risk analytics
  • Monitor model performance and run ongoing assessments to evidence suitability and limitations
  • Govern model methodology changes including documentation and controls aligned to regulatory expectations
  • Investigate issues and weaknesses, identify root causes and recommend targeted enhancements
  • Deliver ad hoc quantitative analyses including stress testing, what-if analysis and portfolio reviews
  • Assess risk impacts for new products through quantitative review and appropriate testing
What we're looking for

  • Apply established knowledge of equity derivatives, fixed-income and interest-rate derivatives, FX and commodities risk
  • Demonstrate experience developing, enhancing, validating and documenting risk methodologies in regulated settings
  • Show capability across regulatory stress testing, market risk, CVA, VaR, regulatory capital and risk-weighted assets
  • Evidence hands‑on model monitoring, performance assessment and governance including issue investigation
  • Apply Basel and other regulatory requirements when evaluating methodology design and enhancements
  • Communicate complex quantitative topics clearly with regulators, business heads, traders, quants, model validation, risk and technology teams
