VP Credit Underwriter - C&I

A well-established regional bank is looking to add a VP Credit Underwriter to its growing C&I team. This is a hands-on opportunity focused primarily on commercial credit underwriting and portfolio management, working closely with relationship managers and senior credit leadership across a diverse portfolio of C&I borrowers. • Underwriting and management of a portfolio of C&I credits generally ranging from $30 to $50MM+.
• Lead underwriting for new money requests, annual reviews, renewals, revolvers, extensions, and modifications.
• Analyze borrower financials, cash flow, projections, collateral, guarantor support, and overall credit quality.
• Partner closely with Relationship Managers on deal structuring, credit recommendations, and ongoing client relationships.
• Prepare comprehensive credit analyses and loan packages for senior credit leadership and credit committee review.

• 7+ years of experience in commercial credit underwriting, portfolio management, or commercial banking.
• Strong background in C&I and commercial lending.
• Experience with new money underwriting, annual reviews, renewals, and revolving credit facilities.
• Experience underwriting commercial transactions generally in the $30MM-$50MM range preferred.
• Strong financial statement, cash flow, and credit analysis skills.
• Experience with nCino strongly preferred.
