Hedge Fund Marketing Associate at Metacapital Management, LP

Metacapital Management is a fixed income hedge fund manager based in midtown Manhattan, managing strategies focused on U.S. mortgage-backed securities and related securitized credit products. Established in late 2001, the firm has a small, highly focused team and an excellent reputation in the asset management industry.

Metacapital is seeking a Marketing Associate to join its Business Development / Investor Relations team. This role is well suited to a recent graduate or a candidate with up to two years of professional experience who wants to build a career in hedge fund marketing and investor relations. You'll work closely with the Head of Business Development and gain direct exposure to institutional investors, the firm's mortgage and securitized credit strategies, and the day-to-day mechanics of running an IR function at a well-regarded, focused manager.

There is a clear path to take on greater investor-facing responsibility as you develop in the role.

• Support the Head of Business Development in preparing for and following up on investor and prospect meetings
• Help draft, maintain, and update the pitchbook, DDQs/RFPs, and other marketing materials
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly investor reporting, coordinating with the fund administrator as needed
• Maintain and update the investor CRM/database and manage meeting and event logistics
• Sit in on investor meetings and calls to build product knowledge and investor relationship skills, with increasing participation over time
• Develop a working knowledge of the firm's mortgage-backed securities and securitized credit strategies well enough to speak to them credibly with sophisticated allocators
• Help maintain ongoing communication with existing investors (updates, requests, follow-ups)
• Identify process improvements in reporting, materials management, and investor communications
• Coordinate with compliance on the review of marketing materials

Reports to the Head of Business Development, with regular interaction with the Managing Partner and other senior team members.

• Bachelor's degree from a strong academic program, with a record of outstanding achievement
• 0-2 years of professional experience; internships or prior experience in financial services, asset management, or client-facing roles are a plus but not required
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through; comfortable managing multiple work streams and deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamo) is a plus
• Genuine interest in fixed income markets and the hedge fund industry
• Professional demeanor and sound judgment given regular exposure to institutional investors
