Human Intuition. Machine Intelligence. Relentless Exploration.
Exceptional trading emerges where human intuition meets frictionless experimentation. Our platform and processes enable traders to rapidly investigate ideas, identify emergent patterns, and convert insights into live strategies. This synthesis creates a flywheel of discovery — the key to our pursuit of excellence.
The RoleWe are looking for an experienced, hands-on risk professional to own trading risk management at Summit Securities Group. Your mission is to develop a clear view of our exposures, define how much capital we put at risk, and monitor and modify the limits and controls that keep trading within agreed boundaries.
You will be the firm’s sole dedicated risk professional, responsible for both the framework and its daily operation. You will oversee risk across trading desks, investigate changes in exposures and P&L, and work directly with engineers to improve our risk tools and controls.
This role is well suited to a risk officer, deputy, or experienced individual contributor ready to take ownership of a function. Prior experience as a Chief Risk Officer is not required. We are looking for someone who has personally built and improved trading risk management capabilities and wants the responsibility of making them work across a firm.
How You’ll WorkYou will partner directly with traders, quantitative researchers, engineering, operations, compliance, and firm leadership. On our lean team, you will have broad ownership and close access to the people making trading and technology decisions. You will need to understand how our strategies make and lose money, challenge assumptions constructively, and follow issues through to resolution.
