Jones Memorial Hospital (JMH), located in Wellsville, New York, seeks a savvy and dynamic financial executive to serve as its next Vice President of Finance/Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Since its founding, Jones Memorial Hospital has served as a cornerstone of healthcare delivery in Allegany County and the surrounding communities. Today, the organization has grown to $125 million in net revenue, operates a 49-bed acute care hospital, with an expanding network of outpatient, primary care, specialty care, rehabilitation, and ancillary services. As an affiliate of the University of Rochester Medical Center and UR Medicine, JMH combines the personalized approach of a community hospital with the resources and expertise of one of New York's leading academic health systems.

The hospital serves patients across Allegany County, western Steuben County, and northern Pennsylvania and has earned recognition for its commitment to quality, patient satisfaction, and excellence in rural healthcare. Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer, Jim Helms, the CFO will play a critical leadership role in supporting the organization's strategic and financial objectives. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, senior leadership team, and Board of Directors. They will have oversight of the finance, supply chain, and patient access functions, and will serve as a liaison for the central billing office, health information management, and contracting functions through UR Medicine.

The CFO will play an integral role in capital planning needed to support future growth. They will work closely with local operational and clinical leaders to identify opportunities to strengthen financial performance, maintain strong operational efficiency, and support patient access initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring significant leadership experience in healthcare finance within a hospital, health system, or integrated delivery network and embody JMH's WECARE values. The successful CFO will be a strategic thinker, problem solver, and collaborative leader with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. They will possess the highest level of integrity, a strong commitment to rural health care, and a proven ability to drive performance.

The next CFO will be an approachable and visible leader in and around the community. They will have a track record of successfully partnering with physicians, staff, leadership colleagues, and external stakeholders while leveraging data and financial insights to support sound decision-making and long‑term organizational success.

The base salary will be in the $190,000 – $270,000 range based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, Jones Memorial Hospital offers a competitive executive compensation program, including incentive compensation and basic and supplemental benefits.
