Citi is looking for an Investment Banking Associate to join its Institutional Banking team, playing a central role in advising clients on mergers, acquisitions, capital raising, and other strategic financial transactions. ** Responsibilities
* ** Execute investment banking transactions across M&A advisory and capital markets, managing deal timelines, work streams, and client deliverables from mandate to close.
* Advise clients on strategic financial transactions by developing investment recommendations and supporting capital raising activities in coordination with the Institutional Banking team.
* Build and maintain financial models and analyses to evaluate corporate transactions, deal structures, and market opportunities.
* Act as intermediary in client trading activities, supporting transaction execution and ensuring accurate information flow throughout the process.
* Mentor and guide junior analysts by providing structured feedback, managing information flow, and supporting their professional development on live transactions.
* Contribute to the growth of Citi's investment banking franchise by supporting client development efforts and tracking business development opportunities through industry research and trend analysis.
* Assess risk and apply sound judgement in business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct.
** Required qualifications & skills
*** 5 to 8 years of experience in investment banking or a closely related financial advisory role.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
* Demonstrated ability to evaluate corporate transactions and structures, with practical experience across deal types.
* Proficiency in building and interpreting financial analyses to support transaction and client advisory work.
* Series 79 and Series 63 licenses, current or ability to obtain
* Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to clients and senior stakeholders.
* Ability to work collaboratively across teams, manage competing priorities, and maintain quality under tight deadlines.
** Beneficial skills & qualifications
*** Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
* Experience supporting client development and business origination in an investment banking context.
* Familiarity with tracking industry trends and conducting sector-level research to inform business development strategy.
