Director of Finance

At Prosper AI, a company revolutionizing healthcare operations with voice AI technology, the Director of Finance role is a pivotal leadership position based in New York City. The company focuses on automating patient calls, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, billing, and payor communications to reduce administrative costs in healthcare. This role is the first finance hire, responsible for establishing and scaling the finance function as the company experiences rapid revenue growth and expansion.

The Director of Finance will lead both strategic and operational finance activities, including building the operating model from scratch, managing key financial metrics such as ARR and gross margin, and preparing investor updates. Operational responsibilities include overseeing monthly financial close processes, payroll, taxes, invoicing, and implementing spend controls. The role requires managing outsourced accounting partners and ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency across the organization.

Candidates should have 4-6 years of experience, preferably with a background in investment banking and startup finance, demonstrating strong rigor and a builder mentality. Experience with healthcare or health tech, modern finance tools, fundraising, audits, or managing outsourced accounting firms is advantageous.
