Associate Investigator II – City of New York

• Supervise subordinate staff, assign work and review case files.
• Oversee and coordinate confidential investigations, inspections, assemble and verify evidence.
• Examine and analyze records and documents.
• Ensure staff manage caseload, meet deadlines, and provide appropriate recommendations.
• Train staff in investigation techniques and operational procedures.
• Assist with security oversight of various DOT parking facility locations and contracted armed guards.
• Perform field operations and inspections across the five boroughs of New York City.
• Adhere to security operations confidentiality requirements and communicate professionally in English.
• Execute other confidential security related tasks as required.

• Currently serving permanently in the civil service title of Associate Investigator, or have taken and passed the Associate Investigator civil service exam #0111. Indicate status in cover letter.
• A four‑year high school diploma or its equivalent and five years of satisfactory, full‑time experience as an investigator evaluating creditworthiness, searching for assets, verifying information, or performing related investigations.
• An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory, full‑time experience as described in (1) above.
• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of satisfactory, full‑time experience as described in (1) above.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to any of the above.

• Valid NYS driver’s license.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

$69,880.00 – $98,325.00
