TheProblems You’ll Solve
The Climate Data and Emissions Specialist will lead data-driven initiatives to advance the City’s climate and environmental justice goals. This includes overseeing greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, applying data analysis and visualization techniques across diverse climate-related topics to inform and integrate into the City’s climate and environmental justice plans, and leveraging GIS tools to support policy and program development.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Citywide, which reports all activities taking place within the boundaries of New York City’s five boroughs, City Government, which reports only activities associated with New York City government operations, and a household consumption inventory. MOCEJ completes the Citywide inventory and supports City agencies in developing the City Government and household consumption inventories. MOCEJ is also developing Scope 3 embodied carbon inventory and baseline study.
