We are looking for a punctual, patient, and reliable Salon Assistant to join our welcoming and upbeat salon environment. The ideal candidate should be passionate about blonding, the beauty industry, and willing to learn.
Responsibilities:
Greet clients and offer refreshments
Assist stylists with shampooing, blow-drying, and other tasks
Clean and maintain the salon to ensure a tidy and comfortable environment
Keep an inventory of salon supplies and notify management when supplies run low
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
NYS Cosmetology License (or currently enrolled in Cosmetology School)
Strong communication skills and customer service
Proficiency in rinsing and shampooing color
Basic Blowdry skills preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Prior salon experience is a plus, but not required
Service Industry or Retail experience strongly preferred.
3-4 day (one weekend day included) schedule required.
Compensation:
Start at $16.50 per hour plus tips with opportunity for an increase after 90 days.
40% commission on services rendered including glosses, extensions, single processes, etc.
3-4 days a week with the opportunity for in-person education with @blondebybritt and work towards becoming a junior Stylist.
Monthly ongoing education classes.
