Pay:$16.80 - $18.25 per hour!(depending on related experience)
Nature of Work:
The Peer Specialist provides unconditional, non-judgmental support to assigned consumers and families upon request who are participating with Adult Behavioral Services. The Peer Specialist works collaboratively with Care Managers.
- High School Diploma or GED, must be 18 years of age.
- Must possess an understanding of or be willing to learn the principles of recovery and resiliency model. Candidates must be a current and/or previous recipient of mental health and/or substance abuse services or the loved one or friend of a recipient. Must be Certified Peer Specialist or Provisional Certified Peer Specialist.
- Must have a current, valid driver's license that meets Agency guidelines.
- Must meet the requirements of the Mental Health Regulations regarding, Justice Center Staff Exclusion List clearance, and Justice Center Criminal History Review for criminal convictions.
