The system includes Maimonides Medical Center, one of the largest independent teaching hospitals in the nation;

Part-Time, Permanent
Schedule:
Weekends, Monday-Friday, with rotating days and times; 20 hours per week.
- Provide patient care across all patient care areas, interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Stand and walk frequently for prolonged periods.
- Lift, position, push, and transfer patients safely.
- Wear protective clothing, including face shields, gloves, impermeable gowns, and particulate respirators.
- High School Diploma or Equivalency.
- Current NYS EMT Certification.
- Pass EMT Test with 70% or higher.
- BCLS Certification.
- Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience; 5 years preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English.
Note: Employment record, performance, and disciplinary history are considered in qualification assessments. Preference is given to hospital employees per union contract. Seniority within the department influences vacancy filling.
