Paramedic

Type:
Part-Time, Permanent

Schedule:

Weekends, Monday-Friday, with rotating days and times; 20 hours per week.

• Provide patient care across all patient care areas, interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Stand and walk frequently for prolonged periods.
• Lift, position, push, and transfer patients safely.
• Wear protective clothing, including face shields, gloves, impermeable gowns, and particulate respirators.

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Current NYS EMT Certification.
• Pass EMT Test with 70% or higher.
• BCLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience; 5 years preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English.

Note: Employment record, performance, and disciplinary history are considered in qualification assessments. Preference is given to hospital employees per union contract. Seniority within the department influences vacancy filling.
