Palm Beach, Martin and Broward Counties

Gait Mechanics is currently seeking PRN Occupational Therapists to provide services in home in Palm Beach, Martin and Broward Counties areas. We offer the ability to set and manage your own schedule, with full caseload potential and competitive compensation.

• Perform patient evaluations and establish treatment interventions in accordance with Florida Occupational Therapy Association.
• Accurately implement treatment interventions following occupational therapy plan of care established in the evaluation.
• Complete Progress Notes and Re-assessments to monitor patient response to treatment plan every 10 visits or sooner as appropriate.
• Complete Home Safety Evaluation and offer necessary recommendations for home modification for fall prevention.
• Complete patient and caregiver training sessions in order to promote highest level of functional independence, and ensuring prevention of falls.
• Communicate with clinical team including but not limited to SLP, OT, PT and PCP.

• Experience with dementia and Parkinson’s

All clinicians meet monthly for education classes including but not limited to joint mobilizations, neurodynamics, exercise progression and regression, and blood flow restriction to name a few… Ask other potential employers if they are meeting regularly to improve their clinical skills.
