- Residential Program
Yonkers, NY
ScheduleFull time, Part time, weekday and/or weekend positions available - including morning, evening, and overnight schedules
Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Assist individuals in maximizing their strengths, interests, and abilities, uphold their personal rights, display patience and tolerance, provide emotional support, and build positive relationships.
- Support people to meet personal goals that characterize quality of life, engage in respectful communication, encourage socializing, and facilitate activities that foster social connections.
- Ensure supervision, protection, and care of individuals, maintain program guidelines, facilitate learning in fire safety, and escalate signs of potential harm.
- Maintain health, wellness, and safety by providing supervision and managing crisis situations following policies and regulations.
- Provide support in various settings according to individual service and behavior support plans, demonstrating OPWDD Core Competencies.

Minimum Qualification Requirements- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to meet physical demands including walking, standing, bending, assisting with lifts, and emergency interventions.
- Effective communication skills, enthusiasm for supporting people with I/DD, and computer literacy.
- Must obtain SCIP-R certification within one year, and other program-specific certifications as required.
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

$18.00/hour - $19.06/hour
