Exercise Specialist – Part-Time (Clarence, NY | Medically Oriented Gym)

Part-Time | Morning & Afternoon Shifts | Supportive Team Environment

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable Exercise Specialist to join our team at the Clarence Medically Oriented Gym (MOG). This part‑time role includes a mix of morning and afternoon shifts and offers a unique opportunity to work with both medically compromised and general fitness populations.   • Exercise Specialist (Part‑Time) – Clarence Medically Oriented Gym
Responsibilities
  • Delivering high‑quality MOG services, including member evaluations, exercise prescriptions, personal training, stretching services, and specialty programming.
  • Leading engaging group exercise classes with a focus on safety and proper technique.
  • Tracking member progress, entering data, and supporting retention through relationship‑building.
  • Assisting with revenue‑generating services and reporting monthly membership metrics.
  • Addressing day‑to‑day member questions and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Participating in staff meetings, community outreach, health promotion events, and supporting student interns.
  • Collaborating with and reporting to the MOG Director.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a closely related field (required)
  • Current CPR/AED (hands‑on) and First Aid certification (required)
  • Personal Training certification from a nationally accredited organization (ACSM, NASM, NSCA, etc.) preferred
  • Group Exercise certification (AFAA, ACE, NASM, etc.) preferred
  • Strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to problem‑solve, multitask, and work independently
  • Passion for fitness, patient care, and helping individuals improve their overall well‑being
