Salary: $130k-$170k + bonus
Location: Remote (West Coast or Pennsylvania preferred)
Our client, a nationally licensed specialty pharmacy dedicated to rare and orphan diseases, is hiring a Director of Partnership Development to expand manufacturer relationships, drive pipeline strategy, and lead RFP execution for limited and exclusive distribution opportunities. This high‑visibility growth role reports to the VP of Client Strategy. The right hire will own manufacturer engagement end‑to‑end, support conference presence and capability presentations, and become the internal driver for new therapy launches and distribution partnerships.
Ideal for someone currently in Specialty Pharmacy or SP‑focused consulting, with direct manufacturer and payor engagement, who is ready to step into a Director role and own strategy, RFPs, and partnership growth.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a clean, forecastable manufacturer pipeline
- Drive outbound strategy to rare/orphan biotech and specialty pharma teams
- Run RFP development from storyboarding to submission and finalist presentations
- Pitch specialty pharmacy capabilities including limited/exclusive distribution programs
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Implementation & Portfolio teams post‑contract award
- Represent the company at conferences and manufacturer meetings
- Partner on pricing models, negotiation, SOW/MSA finalization
- Track market intel, upcoming launches, competitive landscape, 340B dynamics
- Shape strategy for future medical‑billing capabilities
Qualifications
- 5‑10+ years in specialty pharmacy or specialty pharmacy consulting
- Experience working with rare/orphan therapies (non‑oncology preferred)
- Worked directly with manufacturers
- Strong RFP writer and presenter, able to win final‑round selection slots
- Comfortable pitching end‑to‑end SP services and value differentiation
- Understanding of market access, reimbursement, and SP economics
- Exposure to limited/exclusive distribution models
- Skilled in managing complex BD cycles with internal coordination
- Based in the U.S. within one hour of a major airport
- West Coast or Pennsylvania preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Base: $130–$170K
- Annual bonus targeted ~15%
- 90% healthcare coverage + 401(k)

- Hybrid compensation model with potential commission structure under development
