Direct Support Professional (DSP) Manhattan Beach

Braverhood is looking to hire a part‑time Russian‑speaking DSP (Direct Support Professional) to provide support and companionship to a young man with disabilities in the Manhattan Beach area of Brooklyn, both in the home and within the community.

Required bilingual Russian and English.

Pay: $18 - $20 per hour

Hours: Afternoons on weekdays

Location: Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn

• Foster a positive environment for individuals to achieve personal goals (e.g., social interactions and activities of daily living).
• Work closely with Case Supervisors on monthly goals and plans of action.
• Document services rendered and client progress daily and monthly.
• Provide support for individuals with various developmental disabilities in the home and within the community.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings once a year.
• Submit all paperwork and monthly summaries on time.
• Adhere to all agency and OPWDD regulations.

• Accountability and commitment required.
• Experience with in the special needs community, preferably with children or young adults, including community outings and support in social skills.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Completion of an online DSP training course upon hire.
• Ability to show up to work on time.
• Dress code: casual, appropriately and respectfully.
