Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after one (1) year of service in their current position, with exceptions for warnings or suspensions as detailed. Part-time associates who have completed probation may move to full-time within their department if it does not unreasonably reduce operational efficiency. Probation periods are three (3) months for full-time and four (4) months for part-time employees working more than 3/5 of a week.

Shift changes are exempt from probation.

Under the direction of the Chief Technologist, the CT Technician performs sophisticated imaging studies requiring independent judgment and technical skill. Responsibilities include performing technical procedures, leading staff technologists, and managing designated areas.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of formal radiologic technology training in CT and ARRT certification.
• Licensed & Injection Certified by the State of New York and ARRT.
• Proficiency with Special Procedure/Angiographic Systems, Radiographic equipment, PACS, and Epic.
• Spatial perception to visualize internal structures for imaging.
• Knowledge of angiographic and interventional radiology procedures.
• Training in immobilization techniques for various patient age groups.
