Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join our healthcare team. This role supports both clinical and administrative functions in a busy medical setting. The ideal candidate must have at least 2–3 years of relevant experience, proficiency with Epic EHR, and hold both a CMA certificate from an accredited medical assistant training program and national certification from an accredited certifying body.
Key Responsibilities- Support physicians and clinicians in patient care, exams, and procedures.
- Measure and record vital signs, patient histories, and symptoms accurately.
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision.
- Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and stock supplies.
- Update and manage patient records in the EHR system (Epic preferred).
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, intake, and referrals.
- Education & Training: Completion of a medical assistant training program from an accredited school, possession of a CMA certificate from that program.
- National Certification (Required): Must hold national certification as a Medical Assistant from one of the following accredited certifying bodies: AAMA – CMA, NHA – CCMA, AMT – RMA, NAHP – NRCMA.
- CPR Certification: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification is required.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or ambulatory care setting.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) required;
Epic preferred.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional demeanor and strong patient service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Team‑oriented, dependable, and adaptable.
