Metro Plus Health , a wholly‑owned subsidiary of NYC Health + Hospitals, provides high‑quality healthcare services to residents of Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. The network includes over 27,000 primary‑care providers, specialists, and participating clinics.
Duties & Responsibilities- Identify prospective enrollees and determine eligibility for participation in Metro Plus Health ’s Medicare product.
- Understand and apply all policies and procedures pertaining to the Medicare product, enrollment, and disenrollment.
- Conduct home visits and personalized appointments as needed to complete the enrollment process.
- Market Metro Plus Health Medicare line of business on‑site at hospitals, senior centers, assisted‑living facilities, community events and other sites.
- Educate enrollees on all aspects of the Plan and answer questions regarding Plan features and benefits.
- Keep informed of current marketing activity guidelines set by regulatory agencies and provide enrollees with all required materials.
- Complete applications, field reports, and personnel forms accurately and timely.
- Work closely with Outreach, Customer Service and Eligibility Representatives and other Metro Plus Health personnel to resolve member concerns.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with facility and site staff, community and provider organizations, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist members with transportation and other services necessary for healthcare access.
- Participate in tele‑marketing/outreach efforts as required.
- Provide detailed reports of production and outreach activities.
- Develop a community presence to generate enrollments and give presentations to large senior groups.
- Complete Annual Medicare Training.
- High School Diploma or GED (College Degree or coursework preferred).
- 3–5 years of sales or customer‑relations experience.
- Medicare sales experience preferred.
- Public speaking experience.
- Excellent organizational, written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Highly motivated and goal‑oriented.
- Ability to work in a multi‑ethnic, multicultural environment.
- Sensitivity to chronic conditions and disabilities.
- Bi‑lingual or multi‑lingual a plus.
- Self‑confident, independent thinker with professional presentation.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn.
- Ability to coordinate and execute sales events.
- Assistance with departmental projects when needed.
- Computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Teams).
- Valid NYS Life, Accident and Health Agent License at the time of employment; must remain valid and be renewed annually.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License is a plus.
