Job Summary

The Department of Anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (HS), General Anesthesiologist. The successful candidate will:

• Administer anesthesia through anesthetic techniques (general, regional, & sedation) to patients in general operating room ambulatory setting and obstetrical suite.
• Participate in clinical operating room supervision and classroom teaching as well as conduct evaluations for residents and medical students, as required by the department.
• Mentor students and residents in research and scholarly activities.
• Participate in administrative duties and on-call assignments as required by the department.
• Clinical service includes general operating room and ambulatory coverage; committed call are in 4-week cycles, 4-calls per cycle.

Required Qualifications

• Medical Doctor Degree.
• Successful completion of training in an ACGME accredited residency.
• New York State Medical Licensure.
• Board Certified in Anesthesiology.
• Sub-specialty (if applicable).
