- four‑year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a state department of education or a recognized accrediting organization, plus one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
- keyboard proficiency with a typing speed of at least 100 keystrokes (20 words) per minute.
preference will be given to individuals with excellent phone, computer, and writing skills. Additionally, good communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet time frames are required.

residency requirement: new york city residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. City employees who have worked for the city for two continuous years may be eligible to reside in certain counties outside nyc. Discuss eligibility with the agency representative at interview.
