Shifts available:
Monday - Friday from 9 AM - 12 PM, 12 PM - 3 PM, 3 PM - 6 PM.

Seeking long-term volunteers available for a weekly 3‑hour shift at our outpatient facility in West Harrison, NY. Volunteers will support the chemo infusion area and/or serve as greeters in the lobby providing navigation and information support.

As a volunteer, you may:

• Offer a warm welcome by greeting patients, families, and visitors when they arrive.
• Provide general support to patients and staff in the chemo unit: round patient rooms and provide non‑clinical needs (blankets, drinks, ice, etc.).
• Support waiting room as Greeter: escort patients to appointments, wheelchair retrieval and transport at entrances, round to various areas to assist as needed.

• Age 16+
• Able to commit to a weekly 3‑hour shift for at least 6 months
• Must be flexible and willing to support various areas based on daily needs, as directed by Volunteer Supervisor
• If you are a former or current MSK patient, you must be out of active treatment for at least one year
• Friendly, reliable, and comfortable engaging with patients, families, and staff

• Virtual interview (based on scheduling needs and program fit)
• 2-3 reference checks
• Background check & drug screen (18+ only)
• Medical clearance (flu and other immunizations required; at applicant’s expense)

* To stay active in the program, onboarding must be completed within 30 days.

This is an unpaid volunteer role. The Volunteer Department does not oversee paid employment, internships, shadowing, or educational programs. Our program provides meaningful, long‑term opportunities to support patients and staff.
