Compensation RangeThe base pay scale for this position is $26.65 – $40.87. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation.

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the clinical and administrative workflow of a busy surgical orthopedic practice. Your duties will include coordinating all aspects of surgical coordination, anticipating the needs of patients as they arise, scheduling and coordinating patient appointments, performing a variety of clerical functions including inventory control, and upholding stellar customer service practices for patients and families.
You will also act as a liaison to physicians and hospital departments.
- Triaging phone calls and patient inquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
- Retrieving messages frequently from voicemail (and EMR system where applicable) and returning messages by the end of the business day.
- Scheduling & confirming patient appointments (new visits, follow‑ups, and post‑ops).
- Scheduling surgeries and other ancillary tests as directed by the physician or office manager.
- Prior experience scheduling surgeries and coordinating patients’ pre‑testing appointments is highly preferred.
- Performing financial transactions and related functions when appropriate and directed by the physician or office manager.
- Facilitating communication between physicians, hospital departments, departmental management, and patients.
- Working independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Promoting cooperation through teamwork.
- Completing all in‑service learning requirements, including the annual in‑service learning.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
• Associate’s degree and at least two years of related MD office/healthcare experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and general office protocol.
• Ability to type 45–60 words per minute and demonstrate exceptional organizational strengths.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
