We are hiring Bilingual (Spanish/English) Temporary to Permanent Patient Service Representatives (PSR) to join the Specialty Department at El Nuevo San Juan Health Center. The PSR provides information, support, encouragement, and assistance to patients and families as they arrive at the health care facility. This role greets and registers patients and visitors, verifies and records patient information, and provides comfort and empathy to patients while maintaining the waiting room.
This role provides accurate and consistent information to patients, schedules appointments, and resolves patient concerns.
Supporting patients and families with information, empathy, and efficient service; greeting and registering patients and visitors; verifying and recording patient information; maintaining the waiting room environment; scheduling appointments; and resolving patient concerns.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma required.
- 1 year of healthcare experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Must have excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional experience to patients.
- Understanding of phone etiquette and standard office procedures.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
$18.75 per hour based on 40 hours per week ($39,000 annualized).
Work Environment Type, Location, and ScheduleApplicants must be comfortable working onsite, based out of The Bronx and have availability to commit to a schedule of 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday with elective Saturday or Tuesday through Saturday- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
